Dr. Andrey Korolev
Director of Research and Development
Dr. Andrey Korolev has more than 20 years of experience in inorganic/organometallic synthesis and semiconductor materials research, spanning both academic and industrial settings. His expertise significantly contributes to Wonik Materials securing its position in the high-tech materials industry.
Dr. Korolev earned his doctorate from Wayne State University in 1998, followed by three years of postdoctoral studies under prominent mentors, including Prof. R.F. Jordan (University of Chicago and University of Iowa) and Prof. C.H. Winter (Wayne State University). He began his industrial career at Sigma-Aldrich’s Fine Chemicals division, where he refined small and industrial-scale syntheses of high-purity materials for electronic industry applications while assisting marketing and promotional efforts at major scientific conferences.
Before joining Nova-Kem in 2012, Dr. Korolev spent four years as an R&D staff scientist and project manager at Air Liquide's Newark, Delaware R&D center, collaborating with Dr. Christian Dussarrat. Dr. Korolev now serves as Director of R&D at the Wonik Materials North America R&D center. He holds multiple peer-reviewed publications, patents, and has presented at significant scientific conferences worldwide.
